Weaving is an ancient art, a time-honored tradition. The rugs we walk on, the clothes we wear, the baskets we use- all made at on point in history by manual, skilled labor. Using a wooden lap loom and materials (that you take home!) weave your very own piece of art. We will be discussing different techniques and exploring the practical and artistic uses for weaving. In addition to personalized instruction, books will be available to comb through for inspiration, and everyone goes home with an instruction manual and extra yarn to continue projects. In an incredibly fast-paced world, taking up a slow-art practice introduces a sense of patience and satisfaction to one’s life. Take a dive into the past and experience the power of creating something beautiful and tangible with your hands!
Please bring a bag lunch to enjoy on beautiful Mad Lavender Farm during our break.
Kelly Dugan, artisan
Kelly Dugan is a lover of art and history, utilizing artistic practices from the days of old to create both ornamental and wearable art. Primarily a silversmith, she also loves to paint and weave, and is heavily influenced by the Southwest. Her goal is to instill a sense of pride into her students through creating slow art, using time-honored traditions- something she came to appreciate more fully while pursuing a degree in Art History at Drew University and through her travels through Europe and the American West.
Acoustic cover of TLC’s “Waterfalls?” or System of a Down’s “Toxicity?” They can do it. Acoustic duo turned lovers, Rachel & Ty are the perfect addition to your wedding day. From chill acoustic vibes to soulful grooves and 90’s Rock, they’ve got it covered.
This workshop is a meditative journey to help you reconnect with the energy of love, compassion, and emotional balance that resides within you. Through a harmonious blend of Sound Bath and Reiki, you’ll rest in stillness, creating space to release barriers and invite healing.
We will strengthen our back while opening our hearts- physically and energetically. Central to this experience is a transformative sound bath, where healing vibrations will wash over you, helping to dissolve energetic blockages and open the flow of prana (life energy) through your heart and beyond.
The sound bath will feature crystal singing bowls tuned to 432 Hz and 528 Hz, frequencies known to promote harmony and healing. As the soothing frequencies resonate with your body’s energy centers, they create a deep sense of peace and emotional balance. Gongs and chimes help tuning the body to its natural state.
Combined with guided meditation, this experience supports holistic healing for both body and soul.
Rather than seeking love outside of you, you are invited to BE love this Mothers Day. Let it pour into you, through you and out in every direction.
You are invited to bring a picnic lunch to enjoy after your Sound Bath in the Picnic Pavilion. Lavender Lemonade will be provided on tap to celebrate Mother’s Day!
In the event of rain, you will be notified of cancellation and your ticket will be refunded in full.
Treat the most important woman in your life to an unforgettable Mother’s Day weekend! Join us for three days of pampering and joy, featuring:

At WoodsEdge, farming for fiber has been a multi-generational labor of love. Fred Walker was known as a pioneer when it came to shearing in the alpaca & llama industries and Linda Berry Walker was a fiber and textile matriarch in the alpaca world. WoodsEdge’s history is steep in breeding fiber producing livestock for end-use products. Today, we carry on their legacies and celebrate the WoodsEdge vision as we prepare to shear at our 49th Annual Shearing Fest.
In the world of alpacas & llamas, “harvest time” comes much earlier than autumn. In fact, it usually occurs in the spring. Shearing Day is when the annual fleece growth is shorn off the alpacas & llamas to prepare them for comfort as the hot summer weather approaches. Watch the first step in our Field to Fashion process where we harvest luxurious fiber that is converted into functional and fashionable items. The WoodsEdge Farm Store will be open for your shopping pleasure. Attendance & parking are free. Event is rain or shine. Dogs are not permitted.

If we had to give you one word of advice, it’s that you must. see. Blue. Soul.
Blue Soul performs a unique fusion of Blues, Jazz, New Orleans, Soul, Rock and R&B styles. We’re grateful to be one of the few venues that Blue Soul brings their full seven piece band to – including their brilliant saxophone and trumpet.
The band plays tracks from Bill Withers, Ray Charles, Van Morrison, Marvin Gaye, Otis Redding, Stevie Wonder, Albert King, Little Feat, Taj Mahal, and several others. They bring all the ‘funk’ you could ever dream of, and we guarantee they’ll get you up out of your seats!
You are welcome to bring in your own prepared outside food and non-alcoholic beverages as well. Outside alcohol is strictly prohibited by NJ law.
Join us at our antique wine bar, high top table or ‘cozy’ corner for live acoustic music while you sip on some wine.
Over the winter, we have live music inside the Tasting Room from 2-5pm. Wine Tasting reservations are available, as well as first come first serve seating to enjoy wine by the glass or bottle (as space allows).
