Gabe Parsons is coming to Black Shed!

Gabe Parsons hails from Hopewell Valley in Central New Jersey. or to hear him describe it; he’s from The Heartland; it’s not a place, but rather a state of mind represented sonically in his music. Home plays a large role in the narrative that Parsons weaves in songs about growing up, the environmental crisis, and loss. Gabe as a writer, is a student of his influences. These most notably include Bruce Springsteen, the Lumineers and Lord Huron. His band, also named “the Heartland” was originally formed at Loyola University New Orleans School of Music Industry. The initial idea was for the group to be his backing band for live shows he was performing in and around New Orleans. Gabe has also previously released two independent records under his own name and a collaborative album called Frisbee Nights. These songs formed the core of early Heartland sets.

A seasoned performer, Gabe has been actively gigging since he was 16. at 22 he has started walking the long road of a veteran musician. His live shows are intimate, pensive and a full of joy;  Gabe and the Heartland have attracted the attention of national acts like Judah and the Lion, managers, talent agents and other industry professionals. With a new single to soon be released and a tour in the works, buzz around the young artist and his band is sure to grow.
