Ironbound is celebrating the release of three new hard ciders, each made from the historic Harrison Apple that was the foundation of early America’s renowned Newark Cider. This is a project ten years in the making, beginning in 2012 as Ironbound Founder and CEO Charles Rosen joined a team of apple hunters and historians to bring back this beloved cider apple from near extinction.

The Harrison Cider Line Includes:

• Newark Cider Royal (18.5% ALC/VOL) – America’s first cocktail. Pure Harrison apple juice, fortified with applejack. This is the second vintage of Ironbound’s Newark Cider Royal, the first having been introduced in winter of 2021
• Harrison’s Sparkling Newark Cider (11.5% ALC/VOL) – A bottle-fermented Pét Nat-style cider
• Newark Cider (10.1% ALC/VOL) – A hard cider made from Harrison, Canfield, and Granniwinkle apples, the three historic apples used in traditional Newark Cider

These ciders will only be available for purchase at the Ciderhouse. They will also be available on the Ciderhouse drink menu.
